Opportunities at University of Miami Hospital

The Department of Volunteer Services at University of Miami Hospital offers three different volunteer programs: Come Grow with Us, Professionals Volunteering for Professionals, and the University of Miami Hospital Auxiliary.

The Come Grow With Us program offers area teens support in reaching their career goals. By volunteering at University of Miami Hospital, the students receive valuable experience in a health care setting. Two scholarships are given annually to teens that have participated in the program and are pursuing a health care career.

The Professionals Volunteering for Professionals program was created for adult volunteers and includes a high caliber orientation and training process to enable volunteers to provide quality support services to our health care professionals. Volunteers are given the opportunity to serve in areas that are directly or indirectly involved with patient care.

The University of Miami Hospital Auxiliary is a non-profit, self-governing membership organization, authorized by the hospital’s Board of Directors. The auxiliary exists to promote University of Miami Hospital's commitment to the community it serves, by conceiving and supporting new services for those in need, raising funds for worthwhile community causes, and recruiting volunteers.
