The University of Miami Health System is a leader in clinical research. Currently more than 1,500 active clinical research studies are underway at the University of Miami Health System, a national leader in advancing treatments and cures for diseases and disorders.

Patients who participate in clinical research gain access therapies and drugs that are not yet widely available. These patients also contribute to the development of knowledge that will ultimately benefit a larger population.
