UHealth Pediatrics is affiliated with Holtz Children’s Hospital, one of the largest children’s hospitals in the Southeast United States. Holtz is also home to several specialized programs for critically ill children, such as a neonatal intensive care unit, pediatric transplant program and The Children’s Heart Center.

Batchelor Children’s Research Institute

One of only a handful of children's research centers in the U.S., the Batchelor Children’s Research Institute has helped make the Department of Pediatrics one of the nation’s top-ranking centers for research funding provided by the National Institutes of Health.

The Dr. John T. Macdonald Foundation Center for Medical Genetics

Formation of the Dr. John T. Macdonald Foundation Center for Medical Genetics was prompted by the completion of the Human Genome Project and the increasingly prominent role that medical genetics will play in human health care.

The Mailman Center for Child Development

An integral part of UHealth Pediatrics, the Mailman Center for Child Development , offers extensive research facilities for education, and contains everything needed to fulfill its mission of research, training, and services to children with special needs and their families.
